You need administrator privileges to change the TimeZee configuration.

How to set administrators? → See “Set TimeZee administrators”Installation Guide

Privileges

By default, in TimeZee, without additional configuration, every user has the following permissions:

  • creating timesheets

  • submitting their timesheets for approval

  • tracking the status of their timesheets

  • printing their timesheets

Additionally, users who are project leads in Jira can:

  • approve or reject timesheets related to the work of other users on their projects.

To grant users access to additional functionalities, they must be assigned to specific roles.

What are the roles used for?

Administrator - a role that grants permissions to manage the application

HR - a role that allows assigning permissions to projects and granting second-level approval

Second Degree Acceptances - a role that grants permission for second-level approval.

Assigning Second Degree Acceptances role to any individual automatically activates the second-level approval functionality

You cannot revoke approval permissions from project leads. You must first change the project lead in Jira.

By adding another person to approve work on a project, in addition to the project lead, we block the ability for individuals to approve their own work on the project. It must be approved by someone else.
